The “About” section

I have a confession to make. I’ve noticed that the overwhelmingly popular page on my blog is the “about” page. Don’t believe a word of it. It’s totally bullshit. When I started this I though I’d get a lot of art world folks who would recognize it for what it is. Totally incomprehensible artspeak. In fact, it was computer generated by an app that, after filling out a short questionnaire spits out a catalogue ready artist statement. I meant it to be completely ironic. At some point over the weekend I’ll take it down and replace it with something that I’ve written myself. i apologize to everyone who didn’t get the joke. it was stupid and snobbish.

Ok, I’ll leave it. It can be our little joke. I thought it was hysterical. It’s almost not English. I fell in love with it because it referenced Arendt and Kafka. Appropriate for my situation, anyway. Thanks for the input!

@ Scott. You always get that wrong. I wish the Voice archive went back that far. I just called Stephanie Theodore and she’s going to try to find the review in her files and send it to me. I’ll post it when I get it.
